There is still more that I have not told you
A collection of collage art by Daniel Watkins and found-material sculpture by Milla Oliveira
Opening Reception: Thursday May 18, 4-8pm CEI ArtWorks Gallery
408 SW Monroe St. Suite 110
Corvallis, OR
Info: [email protected] , OUTPOST1000
Description:
The creation of collage art is an act of re-interpretation; of finding new meaning in old images. Daniel's collage work explores human perception through violations of symmetry, image randomization, and juxtaposition, drawing inspiration from his background in mathematics and physical science. Milla's sculptures begin with humble materials — styrofoam, cardboard, much of it found or cast-off — which may then be recycled, readdressed, or recontextualized. Her work aims to stimulate mental connections in terms of the relations of the varied materials and the way we relate to known objects in the real world.
