In the throes of a present fraught with over-thinkers who gleefully misread events and actions, where causation is crafted upon the flimsiest of pretense, I can’t imagine telling you what these pieces mean. It is important to meet them where they are, as they are. Refuse to force them into labor they are not able to perform. Not demanding they reflect, illustrate, trick, deconstruct, challenge, expose, shed light, transcend, etc. I don’t want to put undue pressure on the pieces and hope they can be as lazy as I strive to be. I just want to let them be. Get out of the way and shut up for once, as is often begged of me. I am silent before them.

A neat component of Michaels work is "Albatross Gallery" a gallery which he wears via plastic lanyards consisting of works by various artists- in this case artists who are affiliated with Living Studios (Cornerstone)
